We produce premium grade horse hay and clean long wheat straw for the horse industry. Our strength is a dust and mold free product, achieved through a careful and meticulous growing and harvesting process.
-
Our location in southern Ontario affords us an optimal climate for growing premium horse hay. It is sufficiently wet to grow a strong crop, but also sufficiently dry as to allow harvest of the hay without any weather damage.
-
We harvest several varieties of hay; Pure Timothy, Alfalfa Timothy mixtures, and Pure Alfalfa. All our hay is harvested in large square bales. We are equipped to produce and ship 20,000 tons of premium hay per growing season, and are continually expanding the scale of our operations.
 -
For customers who desire small square bales, we cut & re-bundle our hay into bales suitable for mechanical unloading and stacking in the barn. The process allows for excellent quality control, as well as the convenience of faster and more efficient handling of the hay. These bundles contain 9 bales which are small enough to carry and move individually by hand for easy handling and feeding. The original flake structure of the bales is preserved throughout, and each bale contains 10-12 flakes weighing 5-6 lbs each.
Our shipping is done primarily via transport truck, loaded at the main farm in Ontario, and shipped either to a distribution center or directly to the customer. To place an order, please contact Fritz or Gise Trauttmansdorff.
